Did you ever watch WWE as a kid? Those super-hero actors putting on a show of excitement, drama, action and of course, trash talking. That may have been fake (yet still awesome) but nature has that for real. Northern Elephant Seals are the largest pinniped on earth (the males weigh up to 5,000 pounds) and this time of year the entire colony hauls out onto the shores of Ano Nuevo State Park to take part in the oldest tradition on earth. Mating. Trust me, the WWE has got nothing on this. Docents lead tours EVERY DAY from 8:45- 2:45 from the Ano Nuevo State Park parking lot until March 31st. Come get up close and personal with these incredible animals and learn a thing or two in the process.
Ano Nuevo State Park.
