Whip out those binoculars and set out on an avian adventure at Santa Ana Valley with the Santa Cruz Bird Club! This outing is well worth the drive from Santa Cruz, as previous expeditions have yielded sightings of about sixty different species of birds. This excursion is planned for a half-day, wrapping up around 1:00 in the afternoon.
Meet at across the street from the US Post Office, 21 E 4th St, Tres Pinos, CA, at 8:30am.
Directions from Santa Cruz: take Highway 1 South to Riverside Exit, to Main St. Right over bridge to L on San Juan to 101, North on 101 to 156 to Union Rd, to Right on Hwy 25 (Airline Hwy), two or three miles to Tres Pinos. The Post Office is just past the Flap Jacks Restaurant and shares the same parking lot.
