Roughwater Swim

Date:

Sat, 08/02/2014 - 11:00

Sure, we've all walked on the wharf - but have you swam around it? The Roughwater Swim, a mile-long race around the Santa Cruz Wharf, attracts gnarly ocean swimmers from all over California and was recently named as one of America's Top Open Water Swims. Celebrate the wharf's 100th anniversary while getting up close and personal with its most lively residents - the sea lions that often hang out underneath. This swim will start on Main Beach and end at Cowell's Beach.

11am. Entry forms and information available at Pacific Masters Swimming, Lifeguard Headquarters on the Wharf or at the Parks and Recreation Office, 323 Church Street in Santa Cruz. Call 831-420-5270 for more information.
