For the first event of the UC Santa Cruz Arboretum Garden Tour Series, the Director of Collections and Conservation, Brett Hall, will lead the way. On this tour, you'll learn about newly developed areas, along with spots often overlooked. He'll take you behind the scenes into the decision-making process for different features and explain what the founders originally envisioned, and the story of how it came together. You'll learn about both the challenges and opportunities for the Arboretum's future as well.
After the tour, there will be a chance to join the curator for a picnic, so bring along a lunch.
UCSC Arboretum. 12-1pm. Meet in front of Norrie's Gift Shop. Spaces are limited; purchase tickets here ahead of time. Tours will last between 45 minutes and 1 hour.
