The Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History is partnering up with the Santa Cruz Bird Club to make your Saturday mornings a whole lot better. And birdy-er, but that’s not a word. Birding experts from the SC Bird Club will be leading early-bird workshops along the San Lorenzo River — where over two hundred bird species have been spotted migrating or residing on the river. Bring your bird-loving families and friends of all ages for a morning of feathered awe and knowledge.
This Saturday morning will be led by Phil Brown, the president of the SC Bird Club itself! His birding and guiding experience stretches back more than 20 years, with locations including Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Canada, Alaska, New Zealand, and South Africa.
San Lorenzo River (specific location TBD). Free. Space is limited, so register here. Comfortable footwear and binoculars, if you have them, are suggested for the optimal birding experience.
