Luen Miller will present "50 Years of Freeways, Landscapes and Gardens," a talk about the past, present and future of his favorite tree, the coast redwood. Luen is co-owner of Monterey Bay Nursery, which provided 450 redwood trees for the Highway 1 merge lane plantings. Did you know that there are only three redwood clones in the nursery trade these days? Luen will also discuss propagation and introduction of new plant varieties – and he’ll offer a free garden plant to the first 100 attendees!
