Take a chance and hike the Last Chance. Docent Steve Stolper leads this 4.4-mile, 4-hour walk on the Last Chance Trail following East Waddell Creek. This moderate hike will venture through canyon, deep forest and across a stream (so be prepared to jump rocks). Lunch will take place in the sun overlooking the cascades.
Big Basin Redwoods State Park, 9 miles outside of Boulder Creek on Hwy 236. 10am. Free, but parking is $10.
