Even if you don’t have time to participate in any other Bike Week activities, you can still experience Santa Cruz’s biking-friendly spirit on Bike to Work and Bike/Walk to School Day! Local restaurants like Verve Coffee Roasters and stores like New Leaf Community Markets offer free breakfast and coffee to participants at 13 different sites across Santa Cruz. This includes downtown Santa Cruz, the boardwalk and more. So if you’re interested in good company, free coffee and food and some healthy exercise before you start your day, gear up the kids to bike safely on Bike to Work and Bike/Walk to School Day.
