Save Our Shores invites all to the opening of a new exhibit of marine photos at the Sanctuary Exploration Center. The Wave and Wildlife Photo Contest celebrates the 29 Marine Protected Areas found in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. These areas, where fishing is limited or not allowed at all, function as important nurseries and refuges, allowing fish stocks to recover and reach healthy levels. Expect photos of birds, marine life and sea mammals in a stunning natural environment.
The exhibit runs at the SEC through Sept. 30.
