The Sanctuary Exploration Center celebrates World Ocean Day with an all-day film festival documenting life in the briny deep. The Beneath The Waves film fest includes short films on manta rays, fish romance, the effects of plastics on the marine environment and how to survive getting caught in a rip current. And just like every day at the Sanctuary Exploration Center, it's free of charge. 35 Pacific Ave., Santa Cruz; 11am-5pm; free.
