Never before has so much mountain biking been concentrated in one forest over the span of a single weekend! Actually, it's happened the last two years, but as past attendees will explain, the Santa Cruz Super Enduro has exploded in size and popularity. This weekend-long mountain biking spectacle is situated in the Soquel Demo Forest and is presented by Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz in partnership with BELL. Festivities include racing, camping, beer, outdoor movies, demo rides and more.
Registration to snag a tent spot is closed, but you can get one by showing up early on Friday with $40 in hand—which gets you a tent space for two nights and two breakfasts—plus live music by Coffee Zombie Collective, beer from Lagunitas ($3 suggested donation) and a screening on Saturday night of the Anthill film Strength in Numbers.
All race positions are taken (registration filled in 10 minutes—10!), but there’s still plenty to do if you're spectacting. And don’t forget—you can always volunteer! This is the final race of the California Enduro Series.
Friday – Registration and racer warm-up. Riders can head out to inspect the world-class trails. Make sure you get plenty of rest, though, because race day is tomorrow.
