How Do We Love Coast Dairies?

Hikers, mountain bikers and nature lovers of all ages share their excitement about Coast Dairies in this video by the Trust for Public Land (scroll down to watch it).

Nov. 3, 2014—On Oct. 3, on a rare 95-plus degree Santa Cruz day, the Trust for Public Land threw a party to mark its handover of 5,800 prime north coast acres to the Bureau of Land Management. The Coast Dairies property includes coastal prairie, redwood-lined ravines and huge views of the Pacific and the rest of the North Coast. Lying adjacent to San Vicente Redwoods, Coast Dairies represents a huge expansion of publicly accessible open space in Santa Cruz County once trails are built. Full buildout should be within the next decade.

The Trust for Public Land's camera crew was on hand to get people's reactions to the prospect of almost 6,000 acres of new open space on the North Coast—including the perspectives of some enthusiastic and extremely cute elementary school kids from Pacific School in Davenport (and one somewhat less cute but extremely enthusiastic Hilltromper).
