Nov. 25, 2013—On Friday, Nov. 22, Erik Waage clicked the "Like" button on the Hilltromper Facebook page and became our 700th fan, touching off a media frenzy (or at least some Facebook messages). The Felton resident and creative mind behind Santa Cruz Mountains Clothing graciously consented to be interviewed on the momentous occasion.

1. So Erik, how does it feel to be No. 700 on the Hilltromper Facebook page? How has it changed your life?

I was like, sweet name! Had to see what it was all about. Your free bike lessons had been reposted by SLV news guys. Caught my eye for sure.

3. Would you describe yourself as an outdoorsy kind of guy, and if so, do you have advice for others interested in the outdoorsy lifestyle?

Most definitely. There is only one great outdoors. Get out explore it as much as you can. You're only here once on Mother Earth. Enjoy the ride.

4. Which of the following activities do you enjoy? a) hiking b) biking c) watching Nature channel d) amateur entymology e) BASE jumping f) drinking beer outdoors g) suntanning h) other
Mountain bike is what gets my blood flowing, but hiking is right there too. Either one. Cracking a nice beer during... is the icing on the cake.

5. Is there a park or outdoor place where Erik Waage the man goes to just get away from it all?

The beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains is where it's at. Period.. I am lucky to have grown up here and live in one of the most amazing places on earth! This is my stomping grounds... but to get away I road trip to Mammoth to ride the park and then chill in the hot springs. There's nothing better than seeing the Sierras with a sunset. No words.
