John Griffith and Dave Boehne on their way to a 1-2 finish in the SUP Men's Shootout at Steamer Lane during Saturday's Santa Cruz PaddleFest.
The event, sponsored by Adventure Sports Unlimited, brought a bunch of the world's best surf-kayakers and SUP surfers to town. The waves at Steamers were good-to-awesome, as usual for March. Sunday's finals, the last contest in the 2012-2013 Pacific Paddle Surfing Series, will determine the West Coast champions in a number of categories.
