Every outdoor gear junkie with an internet connection knows Patagonia is holding a big online sale right now, with 30% savings on past-season products through July 30. But our local Patagonia Outlet is also holding a big giant sale—only the prices are way better because it's an outlet to begin with, and the selection is still great because nobody knows about it. (See, it's something of a surprise, this sale. Why is it a surprise? Who cares?!) And there were mad savings to be had on River Street as of Friday afternoon, thanks to the discount multiplier effect of outlet prices x regular price specials x 30% off everything.
Take the women's Pelage jacket in the picture. Retail is $149, the weekly special price is $62, and 30% off that brings the grand total to $44. See? And since this sale is a SURPRISE and a SECRET, there are lots of colors and sizes left, including—and I know this is what you're wondering—the ever-elusive Medium.
Almost everything in the store is 30% off the lowest marked price (wetsuits are one of the few exceptions). That means men's, women's and kids' swimwear, long underwear, sweaters, pants, puffy down coats, fuzzy warm vests, snowboardwear... you get the picture. Is there really anything more important than suiting up for outdoor fun? No, we didn't think so.
