Come shopping at the Mission Adobe this Friday, Saturday and Sunday and choose from the best of the Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks ParkStores, where discounts run 30 percent for Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks members and 20 percent for the general public. (Memberships start at a reasonable $25.) You'll find monarch butterfly jewelry, posters, scarves, T-shirts, beanies, socks, finger puppets, beautiful wildlife-themed dishtowels, cool toys for kids ... and so much more. Come by on First Friday, when Oh, Look! Photography is the featured artist, and see for yourself. While you shop, Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks staff will keep the kiddos occupied with hot chocolate from Mutari, pan dulce, papel picado (a Mexican paper craft similar to making snowflakes), and music. A more festive evening of shopping there could hardly be.
