4th Annual Mole & Mariachi Festival

Date:

Sat, 09/10/2016 - 11:00

The Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park comes to life today in an explosion of color, dancing, singing, crafts and mariachi music. As always, the Mole and Mariachi Festival features a fierce competition for best mole, with a record 10 chefs competing this year; festivalgoers are encouraged to vote. For the kids there are crafts, activities and face-painting; for grownups chavelas, beer and wine, and for everyone lots of great food like mole empanadas, tamales and an ice cream-churro concoction that is guaranteed to please.

This is a zero-waste event that benefits the Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks' work on behalf of the Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park. Ride your bike and park it at the bike valet courtesy Bike Santa Cruz County or park downtown and catch the free trolley at Locust and Cedar streets.

144 School St, Santa Cruz. 11am-5pm. Entrance is free; mole tasting kits $10.
