Children are naturally art and nature explorers, lovers and adventurers. Enhance their skills by sending them to Art and Nature Explorers Camp based at the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History. Explorations will include Seabright Beach, Arana Gulch, Natural Bridges and the Museum of Natural History; the last day of class there will be a beach clean up and party. Participants will keep a nature journal to record observations and discoveries and they will engage in activities such as writing, drawing, painting, sculpting, mapmaking and learning about our watershed. All classes meet at the Museum of Natural History except for on Wednesday, when there will be a special field trip to Natural Bridges. Connect your child with the local Santa Cruz outdoors while fostering creativity and curiosity that will last the rest of their lives.
Camp is Monday-Friday, June 23-27. 9:00am - 1:00pm daily. Ages 7-12. Register here. Cost is $225 for museum members, $275 for general public.
