The Banff Mountain Film Fest continues its Santa Cruz run. For details on tonight's films visit the UCSC Recreation Department website. Saturday and Sunday at 7pm at the Rio Theatre. The feature fill this night is "North of the Sun," a story about two young Norwegian adventurers skiing and surfing on a remote arctic island. They build themselves a cabin out of flotsam after clearing the beach of debris, creating their private playground with unlimited surfing and skiing. Another short film of the night will be "Kayak Free Kayaking," featuring World Kayak Champion Trip Deacon and his journey in Northern California to create a new, innovative sport.
