Bike Week Kickoff at MAH

Date:

Fri, 05/01/2015 - 17:00

The Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History (MAH) is kicking off Bike Week with a First Friday devoted to with pretty much everything there is to love about Santa Cruz: bike lovers, a tie-dyed community bike ride and an exhibit dedicated to the Grateful Dead. Bike enthusiasts are invited to enjoy a live performance by stunt rider Matt Meyer and participate in a tie-dye community bike ride (put on your favorite rainbow swirl T-shirt and decorate your bike—prizes for best looking ride). Later, make some great connections with organizations like Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz County and The Bike Church.

Grateful Dead fans will also find something to love in the opening of the MAH’s brand-new Grateful Dead exhibit “Dear Jerry.” The China Cats, a locally-based band, will keep it lively with some of the Grateful Dead’s best songs.
