The Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History is partnering up with the Santa Cruz Bird Club to make your Saturday mornings a whole lot better. And birdy-er, but that’s not a word. Birding experts from the SC Bird Club will be leading early-bird workshops along the San Lorenzo River — where over two hundred bird species have been spotted migrating or residing on the river. Bring your bird-loving families and friends of all ages for a morning of feathered awe and knowledge.
This Saturday morning will be led by Nanci Adams, the past president of the SC Bird Club. Beginning as a novice birder in South Dakota, she’s worked her way to becoming quite the birding aficionado — yet she advocates a non-competitive and supportive birding experience. She’s birded in all states along with various spots around the globe, and is currently focused on South American birds.
San Lorenzo River (specific location TBD). Free. Space is limited, so register here. Comfortable footwear and binoculars, if you have them, are suggested for the optimal birding experience.
