If they can find mountain lions in Arana Gulch, they ought to be able to find some interesting birds. Jeff Bleam from the Santa Cruz Bird Club leads this 3 hour excursion to the greenbelt behind the yacht harbor, where grasslands, marshes and pockets of eucalyptus and cypress yield interesting raptors, residents and migrants.
Meet at Agnes Street, at the end of Mentel Avenue, just off the south side of Soquel Avenue between Capitola Road and Frederick Street. 8am - 11am. Free.
