Birding at Palo Alto

Date:

Sun, 01/19/2014 (All day)

Don't worry too much about the tides. Despite a low tide of 1.7ft at 9:17 am and a high tide at of 7.1 ft at 1:53 pm, Eric Feuss of the Santa Cruz Bird Club will search for Clapper Rail and other rail species. The group will bird multiple areas, including the duck pond, lagoon and trails near the Environmental Education Center, Charleston Slough, Mountain View Forebay, Shoreline Lake, Pond A1 and A2 and possibly more. Eric will be keeping his ears open for bird reports in the vicinity during the week. Meet at the County Government Center at 6:45 am or at the Palo Alto Baylands at 8:00 am, preferably at the Environmental Education Center. Contact trip leader at (831) 477-0280 with questions.
