The Santa Cruz Bird Club sets its compass for Schwan Lake, the underappreciated upland section of Twin Lakes State Beach. Oak forests, grasslands and wetlands are the habitat. Steve Gerow leads. Meet at Simpkins Swim Center (map below) at 8am.
