Birding Trip to Panoche Valley

The otherworldly Panoche Valley has been designated a globally important bird area by the National Audubon Society. The Santa Cruz Bird Club, led by Clay Kempf, heads there for its annual pilgrimage and the opportunity to see mountain bluebirds, ferruginous hawks, merlins, phainopepla and much more. Meet at the Paicines Store on Highway 25 at 8am, or carpool from Aptos by meeting at the Wells Fargo at 6:30am.
