Here's a riddle: what do a professional surfer and a CEO of a bank have in common? Well, a passion for economic sustainability, community development and social justice to say the least. Surfer and founder of Surfing for Change Kyle Thiermann will partner with CEO of Bay Federal Credit Union Carrie Birkhofer to engage in a critical discussion of issues including the local economy, global justice and social action. Join them at UCSC for two interesting takes on buying local and surfing global.
