Come see the beautiful purple Calypso orchids (also called fairy slippers), along with western wake robin, skunk cabbage, and an array of flowering native berry species. The hike is about 6.5 miles with some elevation gain. Meet at the entrance of Butano State Park. Carpooling is encouraged but not CNPS sponsored. If interested in carpooling meet at the Westside New Leaf parking lot on Fair Avenue at 9:15 am. Bring water, layers, sunscreen, hat and a lunch. Heavy rain cancels.
