Snakes, bats and bugs, OH MY! They have a well-deserved scary reputation, but you have to admit, they are pretty cool. On top of that, they serve a very important role in their ecosystems. Docent Diane Shaw is in expert in the field of creepy crawlies and will bring along a live snake to touch (if you dare). Get in the Halloween spirit at this hour long program.
Rancho del Oso Nature and History Center (3600 Highway 1; 17 miles north of Santa Cruz). 2pm. Free. Call 831.427.2288 for more information.
