Date:
Nobody's born knowing how to handle a bike safely in traffic or how to treat other riders on a group ride. That's why this six-week class exists: to teach cycling safety, road cycling skills, rider etiquette and group protocol. This is Week Two, but you're welcome to hop in anyway. Just be 18 or over, have a working bicycle and helmet and be able to ride a bike at least five miles. Our goal is 25 miles (plus hills!) at the end of the six weeks. Required: water, snack (or money for one), ID, a working bike and helmet and a spare tube.
Parking lot by Lighthouse Field, Santa Cruz. 9am. Contact rides@santacruzcycling.org to sign up.
