Save Our Shores sponsors a screening of "Divide in Concord". This inspiring and award winning film tells the story of an uppity 84-year-old woman fighting to ban plastic bottles in a small Massachusetts town. As with any good discussion involving consumer rights, corporate profits, and environmental health - especially one going down in the heart of historic America - the discussion kicks the tires of our very democracy; juicy stuff.
The screening should offer up plenty for the following panel to discuss. And what a panel it is! David Regos, producer and co-director of "Divide in Concord", will chat with Dr. Wallace J. Nichols (author of "Blue Mind"), Fred Keeley (Santa Cruz County Treasurer and former Assembly Speaker pro Tempore), Stiv Wilson, (Campaigns Director for The Story of Stuff Project), and Nancy Gerdt (of Felton FLOW).
Appetizers (pizza is the rumor) and beer will be served during the mix and mingle portion of the evening, beginning at 5:30. The film will be shown from 6:30 to 7:50.
