Why shouldn't dogs be welcome on tours through the redwoods, we ask? Join one of the Big Basin docents and bring your canine buddy on this two-hour walk along a road that's closed to traffic following the lovely Opal Creek. While your dogs run and have fun under truly stunning trees, you'll learn about the tallest trees on earth and the history of this park designed to protect them for future generations. Meet at park headquarters with plenty of water.
Big Basin Redwoods State Park, 9 miles outside Boulder Creek on Hwy 236. 10am. Free entrance, but parking is $10.
