Space is weird. Right, we know that. But the more we learn, the weirder it gets. Seems like we're only at the tip of the proverbial space iceberg. Join Kat Feng, graduate student in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at UCSC, as she explains the oddities of neighboring solar systems. Travel to foreign exoplanets and learn about the quest for an Earth-like planet. If the sky is clear, participants will caravan to UCSC for guided star-gazing after the talk.
Santa Cruz Natural History Museum. 1305 E Cliff Dr, Santa Cruz. 7pm-9pm. Tickets $12 general, $6 members. Register here.
