Fall Wildflower Walk at Big Basin

Think nothing's flowering in autumn? Think again! Naturalist Scott Peden leads this five-mile walk to visit the blooming plants of Big Basin State Park. Saturday's route is a leisurely four-mile, four-hour walk that will include two chimney trees and a waterfall.
Sunday's route lasts five hours and will take in a chimney tree and diverse habitats. Bring water and lunch.

Meet at Park Headquarters, Big Basin Redwoods State Park, 9 miles outside Boulder Creek on Hwy 236. 10am-3pm. Free, but parking is $10.
