When disaster strikes, you either are prepared for it, or you wish you were prepared. As a responsible tromper of hills, it’s your duty to prepare yourselves for those unforeseen moments so you don’t fall victim to the latter. But of course, we want you to have fun preparing yourself too. Which brings us to this event—the Aptos/La Selva Fire Department is hosting an Open House, where you can learn life-saving techniques that will keep you safe in dangerous situations, whether it be a natural emergency or a human-caused one. Not only is this a perfect sensible event for the whole neighborhood, but it’s a fun day for the kiddos as well (fire trucks on display, bounce house, and Jr. Firefighter activities, oh my!) And of course, there will be free food to replenish you after all your hard life-saving work.
