Graphic artist Michael Schwab's iconic style leaps from the page, an amalgam of arresting images and bold color blocks overlaid on black. His trademark esthetic has branded Apple products, Peet's Coffee & Tea cafe art, Amtrak campaigns, national parks and of course four Santa Cruz County parks: Natural Bridges, Seacliff, Forest of Nisene Marks and Wilder Ranch. This evening he unveils two new posters commissioned by the Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks for the Santa Cruz Mission Adobe State Historic Park and the Castro Adobe. The Tailgaters will perform their eclectic mix of harmonious acoustic jam with guitar, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica and bass.
Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks hosts this al fresco evening of art and music at the city's oldest building, the 190-year-old Mission Adobe overlooking downtown Santa Cruz.
Santa Cruz Mission Adobe State Historic Park, 144 School Ave, Santa Cruz. 5-8pm. Free.
