California's network of Marine Protected Areas has been called "the state parks of the ocean." Created by legislation authored by Santa Cruz Assemblymember (now County Treasurer) Fred Keeley, MPAs are an innovative approach to recharging depleted fish stocks. Tonight Save Our Shores hosts a screening of the sustainable fisheries film End of The Line (likened to An Inconvenient Truth about fishing) and a conversation about the future of MPAs with ocean lobbyist Kaitilin Gaffney.
