UCSC's annual Earth Summit is a chance for students and community members alike to weigh in on sustainability issues. This year one of those will be the topic of illegal mountain biking trails on Upper Campus. Following up on the Jan. 29 Forest Trails Talk panel discussion, the Forest Trails Workshop will focus on outcomes. After a presentation of information and some discussion, organizers will pass out paper and markers and invite participants to create a "call to action," which they'll sign and pose with in a photo. There will also be a large petition (on butcher paper) asking university officials to open the subject of trails to discussion.
