The Gardens of Castle Rock

Date:

Sun, 09/21/2014 - 09:00

While the towering rocks of Castle Rock State Park are incredible, don't let them get all the glory for the beauty of this landscape! The variety of plants have been growing here for millions of years and help create a strong foundation for everything you see standing tall and sturdy. They've even supported the people who depended on the bounty of the Earth years ago. There is no water in the park, so bring along a full bottle and some snacks. Wear hike-appropriate shoes.

Castle Rock State Park; Located on Highway 35 & 2.5 miles SE of the Hwy 9 junction. 5pm-sunset. Free. Meet in the day use parking lot off Hwy 35. Call 408.867.2952 for more information.
