The Fremont Peak Observatory Association is inviting you to the perfect summertime trifecta - a potluck, a picnic, and a Perseids meteor shower. Their 28th Annual Fremont Peak Star-B-Que is part annual meeting, part star party, and the perfect opportunity to brush up on your constellations via Challenger, the Association's 30" Newtonian telescope. Bring a dish and be warned, many will have a delightfully geeky flair, such as the "Venus transit" cookies and "binary" pears enjoyed last year.
