Help Out With The Drought: A Free Talk

Date:

Sat, 08/09/2014 - 10:00

By now, we all are aware of California’s drastically low levels of water due to the current drought. The pressure is on to cut down on water use, and you may have mastered the technique for speedy showers, but how about your water use outside of the house? Nicole W. Douglas from Ecology Action is giving a free talk on how to conserve water in your landscape, offering solutions to the dilemma of keeping your green thumb during the drought. The talk will cover topics such as losing your lawn, choosing the best plant placement, creating healthy soils through mulching, drought tolerant plants, drip irrigation, managing storm water, and if time permits, basic principles of design and plant selection.

Mountain Feed & Farm Supply. 9550 Highway 9, Ben Lomond. 10am-12pm. Free. Space is limited; RSVP at 831.336.8876 or events@mountainfeed.com.
