Not for the faint of heart! This 5-miler (RT) ascends 1200 feet to the dramatic rock formation and sweeping overlook called Buzzard's Roost. Bring at least a liter of water, lunch, good shoes and layered clothing. Meet at Park HQ.
Big Basin Redwoods State Park, 9 miles from Boulder Creek on Hwy 236. 10am-2pm. Free, but parking is $10.
