Why participate in just any ole triathlon when you can go for broke at the Ironman 70.3-Santa Cruz? Formerly known as the Big Kahuna Triathlon, this event starts at the Santa Cruz Main Beach where the athletes start their 1.2 mile swim. They'll traverse past Natural Bridges and Wilder Ranch State Park before coming back and hitting the finish line in front of the main stage at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk! Come cheer these athletes on or register yourself to compete! 30 qualifying finalists will be able to run the 2016 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Queensland, Australia! The start - 400 Beach Street. Transition area - Depot Park at 119 Center Street. Race starts at 6:50am. $320 to register.
