How many races charge a toy for registration? Not many, but the Jingle Bell Rock 5K is special. Not only do you get to pretend to be Santa and donate a toy for Toys for Tots, but you get to run in costume in the San Lorenzo River Park to ring in the holiday season. Awards will given to the top runners in each age category, and there will be prizes for best dressed runner, best dressed team, best dressed canine partner and best decorated stroller. There will also be a kids 1K prior to the 5K that is $5 with the donation of a toy - a great chance to teach your little ones about the giving spirit of the holidays. All toys will be distributed to kids within the Santa Cruz community.
Sunday, December 6. 9am for the kids 1K, 9:15am for 5K. Registration starts at $30 with a toy donation and $35 without. Register online here.
