There is more than meets the eye at the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, and your child can discover the secrets this summer. Through this camp, led by Elizabeth Evans, your child will investigate the animals, plants, and history of Santa Cruz on daily hikes, scavenger hunts, and explorations at the nearby Seabright Beach. They will also get to work with real museum artifacts (there are over 16,000 at the Museum of Natural History) as well as collect new specimens to learn how to curate their own unique exhibits. All campers will participate in an opening reception and show their work in a special exhibition this summer at the Museum.
Please Note: This camp date is for children aged 12-14 only. There are two previous camp dates for 7-9 year olds and 9-12 year olds.
Tuesday-Friday, July 22-25. 9:00am-2:00pm. Click here to register. Cost is $225 for museum members, $275 for the general public.
