Getting your hands dirty and building something on your own is one of the coolest things in the world, no matter how old you are — however, this remains especially true for the kiddos. Junior Rangers, a statewide program for 7-12 year olds, is holding a class that's all about the art of building. In this class, they will compare tule and adobe building materials and the technology used, as well as creating tule mats and their own adobe brick! Space is limited, so make sure to register beforehand.
The Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park (located on School st. off of Mission & Emmet st.). 11-12:15pm. Register by calling 831.425.5849.
