This minus-tide adventure begins at the Waddell Beach parking lot and wends its way down the exposed tidepools toward Greyhound Rock. There in the shallows you'll find anemones, sea stars (at least the ones who've escaped the mysterious sea star wasting disease) and hermit crabs. Interpretive specialist Morgan Dill leads. Bring warm clothes, binoculars if you have them and good tidepooling shoes!
Meet at Waddell Beach parking lot, 17 miles north of Santa Cruz on Hwy 1; 2pm; free.
