Love art, the ocean or watching the waves roll in to the crooning of an electric guitar? You can enjoy all three from the cool confines of a cave on Seabright State Beach during the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History’s “Light Waves Beach Theatre.” Bring a chair and warm clothes to keep you cozy while viewing environmentally-conscious short films on octopi shenanigans, climate change’s effect on island nations, and the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The night wraps up with a live lecture by TED Fellow Constance Hockaday on our affinity for the sea and the color blue.
Seabright Beach Northern Cave. E Cliff Dr, Santa Cruz. 8-10pm. Free. Map to Seabright Beach.
