First, Little Basin hosts the Junior Rangers—a kids-only program that explores plants, animals and the joys of the outdoors. Activities start at 3pm for all children 7-12. Register your child 15 minutes prior. Later for the little tykes (3-6 years old) and their families, Little Basin Nature Club sings, reads, pretends and plays in the redwood forest. Play time is from 4:30 to 5pm. Round out the experience with the Night Hike and Astronomy Night ,beginning at 9pm (one hour). Explore the nocturnal side of Little Basin with the Night Hike and capture the breathtaking view of the stars with the telescopes at Astronomy Night.
