Pick a 50k, 100k or 100-mile route—or heck, a 10-mile or 1-mile route—and help out Scotts Valley schools in the process. The Scotts Valley Educational Foundation throws this annual cycling jamboree at Skypark with a barbecue lunch, music and buckets of community luv. The longer routes head up into the Santa Cruz Mountains on, you guessed it, Mountain Charlie Road, and travel the summit with its incredible views. The 50k is a little less gnarly but no less lovely, and the 10-mile loop features a climb up Bean Creek Road (and a sag wagon! 'Cause you never know.) Kids only on the 1-mile, please.
