Sometimes you look for mushrooms and there's none to be found. Then you blink, and suddenly you're surrounded by fungi. (Hurrah for rain!) They're all there- the black and brown, orange and red. They're oozing out of logs and peeking out of forest litter. Join Ranger Emily Bertram on a mushroom hunt this Sunday. Learn about who's nibbling on them and how they're important to the forest ecosystem. This is a family friendly, easy walk.
Big Basin State Park. Meet at Park Headquarters. 11am. Free, but parking is $10.
